ABOUT THE PROJECT

DINNOCAP is a transnational project on digital collaboration between industry associations, government agencies, and knowledge institutions in eight countries in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR). DINNOCAP is co-financed by the EU Interreg Programme for the BSR and runs from Jan to Dec 2021.

The aim of DINNOCAP is to advance the digital economy in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) by

  • promoting increased ICT uptake in industrial SMEs;

  • supporting institutional capacity building in the public and the private sector to sustain these developments.

DINNOCAP is an extension project of DIGINNO which was a digital collaboration project for the BSR carried out 2017-2020: https://www.diginnobsr.eu/. DINNOCAP will support the implementation of innovative ICT tools, cross-border e-services solutions, and policy recommendations developed in DIGINNO. These are:

1. Business needs assessment of ICT in SMEs in BSR

2. SME Digital Maturity Recommender Tool

3. Digital Assessment Toolkit for SME’s

4. Four show-case models of G2B cross-border e-service

5. DIGINNO Policy White Paper

DINNOCAP will seek to implement these tools and solutions at the practical level together with companies and industry associations in the partner countries. In parallel, the project will discuss with government institutions how the policy level can support these developments. The overall output of DINNOCAP will be a set of innovative digital transformation instruments to support capacity enhancement among SMEs, industry associations, and policymakers.
